AGE3 Leads Transformative Session With HBCU First and LISC Interns

A leadership experience centered on confidence, clarity, self-worth, mentorship, and personal growth.

At AGE3, we believe confidence, clarity, and care are foundational to leadership—and recently, we had the opportunity to share that message with a powerful group of emerging changemakers.

AGE3 Founder and CEO Almon Gunter led a dynamic session focused on self-love, personal development, and the transformative impact of mentorship for students participating in programs through HBCU First and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC).

The event brought together interns, mentors, and leaders committed to building a brighter future—one rooted in purpose, confidence, and personal growth.

Leadership Starts From Within

Throughout the session, participants explored what it means to truly lead with intention.

The conversation challenged students to reflect on the relationship between self-worth, confidence, discipline, gratitude, and the way they show up for themselves and others.

When individuals understand their value, they begin to unlock the confidence to lead authentically, communicate more clearly, and teach others how to respect their voice.

LEADERSHIP STARTS WITH SELF-WORTH

The stronger your foundation, the more confidently you can lead, grow, and create impact.

Building Confidence From the Inside Out

01

Reflection Builds Resilience

Taking time to reflect helps individuals better understand their experiences, recognize growth, and respond to challenges with greater clarity.

02

Passion Fuels Perseverance

Purpose and passion provide the energy needed to keep moving forward when progress becomes difficult.

03

Pride in Your Work Matters

How you approach your work communicates your standards, values, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

04

Gratitude Grounds You

Gratitude and intentional moments of stillness can help create greater focus, perspective, and emotional balance.

05

Write Yourself a Love Letter

Recognizing your own value is not ego. It is an important part of developing confidence, self-respect, and authentic leadership.

Guidance Can Change the Direction of a Life

Mentorship emerged as a recurring theme throughout the session.

The right guidance can ignite clarity, elevate confidence, provide perspective, and open doors to opportunities that might otherwise remain unseen.

For emerging leaders, having access to mentors who are willing to share experience, wisdom, and honest feedback can create a powerful foundation for both personal and professional growth.

Thank You to the Leaders Making This Possible

AGE3 extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ruth Jones Nichols for her inspiring keynote and her reminder that personal growth and leadership begin from within.

We also extend our gratitude to our partners at LISC for inviting AGE3 into this impactful conversation, including Dale Royal of LISC Atlanta, Seong Kim of LISC National, and Anikka King of LISC.

Your dedication to empowering the next generation does not go unnoticed.
