Registration Deadline

The registration deadline is November 10, 2026. Teams may be placed on a waitlist through registration on Volleyball Life.

Roster Changes

Rosters may be changed through Volleyball Life at any time before November 10, 2026. Any changes after this date must be approved by the Tournament Director.

Waivers

Registration on Volleyball Life for this event includes a waiver form to be signed by every player. A parent or guardian must sign the waiver for any player under age 18.

Adult Division Eligibility

Players who are 18 years old on the day of the event may play in any adult division.

High School Eligibility

High school players must be in grades 9–12 or be at least 14 years old on the day of the event.

All players in the High School Division must provide proof at check-in of passing an annual physical.

Player Eligibility Decisions

The Tournament Director will have final say in all decisions concerning player eligibility.

Check-In

Team check-in begins at 7:30 AM. Online check-in will also be available.

Start Time

Pool play begins at 8:30 AM. Playoffs begin immediately after pool play and are expected to conclude by 5:00 PM.

Minimum Matches

Teams will play a minimum of four matches during the tournament, including three pool play matches and single-elimination playoffs.

Pool Play

Pool play matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets. The first two sets will be played to 17 points, with a cap of 19. Any deciding third set will be played to 15 points, with a cap of 17.

Playoffs

Playoffs will be single elimination. Each playoff match will consist of one set to 21 points, with no cap, and teams must win by 2 points.

Final Schedule

The final schedule will be available five days before the event. Changes to pools may occur at any time before the event.

The Tournament Director will determine schedule changes and inform all team captains of any changes.

Playoff Court Assignments

After pool play is completed, teams must find the location of their playoff match on Volleyball Life, move to that court, and be ready to play the next match as soon as their opponent arrives.

There may be another playoff match on the court before your match. Teams must verify that they are playing the correct opponent on the correct court.

If the wrong two teams play, the team that was supposed to be on the court at that time will automatically advance, and the other team will be eliminated.

Format Changes

Tournament formats and scoring may be modified by the Tournament Director if time becomes a factor during the event.

Competitive Division

The Competitive Division is for players who have competed in a minimum of three previous grass, beach, or indoor volleyball tournaments.

Males may attack from behind the 10-foot line and may jump serve. Males may not block.

Recreational Division

The Recreational Division is for players who have played in fewer than three — two or fewer — previous grass, beach, or indoor volleyball tournaments.

Males in the Recreational Division may not attack a ball above the plane of the net, may not block above the plane of the net, and may not jump serve.

High School Division

High school players must be in grades 9–12 or be at least 14 years old on the day of the event.

Boys may attack from behind the 10-foot line and may jump serve. Boys may not block.

All players in the High School Division must provide proof at check-in of passing an annual physical.

Roster

Rosters may include a maximum of 6 players.

Scoring

All matches will use rally scoring.

Tips

Open-hand tips are not allowed.

Double Contact

Players may double contact any first ball over the net, including serves, as long as the ball is not held. Players may not double contact the second or third team contact.

Let Serves

Let serves are not legal.

Blocking

A block does not count as a team contact.

Setting Over

If a ball is set over into the opponent’s court, the setter’s shoulders must be square, either forward or backward, to the line of flight of the ball.

Timeouts

Each team is allowed two 30-second timeouts per set.

Side Changes

Teams should switch sides every 7 points in sets to 17 or more, and every 5 points in sets to 15.

Forfeit Rule

A 10-minute forfeit rule is in effect.

Net Height

Coed divisions will be played on a men’s-height net.

Injured Players

If a player is injured and cannot return to play within one minute, a substitute from the team’s roster may be allowed.

A female player must be replaced by another female player.

If a female player is not available to substitute for an injured female player, the team may continue play with three players.

A player who is replaced because of an injury may return to play in the next set.

Self-Officiated Matches

All matches will be self-officiated. Teams in each pool will be assigned officiating duties in the schedule.

Disputes

All disputes will be settled by the Tournament Director or Head Official.

Coach or Parent Chaperone

All high school teams must be accompanied by a coach or parent chaperone throughout the tournament.

Coaches and chaperones must sign in with the Tournament Director at check-in on the day of the event and present a current state or federal ID.

Coaches and chaperones may not coach the team during play.

Inclement Weather

Play will continue through inclement weather whenever possible and will be suspended in the case of lightning.

If play must be suspended, delays will be announced in 30-minute increments until conditions are safe to resume.

During weather delays, players should seek appropriate shelter and monitor text and email updates from tournament directors for further instructions.

Decisions regarding suspension, resumption, or modification of play will be made by the Tournament Director based on safety, weather, and playing conditions.

No refunds will be issued after November 1, 2026.

Teams may transfer their entry fee to another team by notifying the Tournament Director.
